Alf joined us in 1971 at our Wigton office, qualifying in 1979 and becoming a Partner in 1984. Alf has acted for farmers and related trades for over 25 years.

Alf is married to Christine and they have two sons, Joe and Michael. They live at Kirkbampton, west of Carlisle. Away from work Alf likes to follow sport, particularly Cumberland & Westmorland Wrestling, rugby union (for which he represented Cumbria and now assists with coaching at Carlisle RFC) and football. Since retiring from competition, Alf has been involved in organising wrestling at numerous events each summer, commentating at events and also refereeing where possible.
